OWL Blog Hop - July 1

Hi, and welcome to this month's blog hop.Every month, Margie organizes this fun activityfor participants of Ali's class "One Little Word" over at Big Picture Classes.This monthly blog hop, has been helping me to"stay on the wagon"... thanks Margie!

June's prompt was a very fun, creative and messy one.

It was so much fun playing with different materials. I do a little bit

of mixed media, so when I saw the prompt I took my

"messy stuff" as my son calls them and had fun creating.

I used lots of gesso and molding paste, this last one I colored it

with Tattered Angels chalkboard, I know the camera didn't

capture the effect, but the blue butterfly with pearls has a

gorgeous shimmer look... I love it!!

One of my favorite parts of this process, was remembering

how much I love getting my hands all messy. I should do

more of this messy creations more often... I discovered I missed it.

OLW Blog Hop - Note To Self

It is time for another OLW 2012 blog hop, as every month, the hop starts on Margie's Blog

I haven't open the email or entered the classroom to see what the prompt for May is, but let me tell you how much I enjoyed April's.

Writing a letter to my self was very therapeutic.

Almost every time I teach, talk or bear my testimony at church I say, especially to the ladies, that we are daughters of a Heavenly Father, that He loves us and we are very special to Him. But you know what? I rarely say those and many more things to my self, and I need to hear that, not only from my church leaders, teachers or my husband, I need to hear it from ME... :)

I loved what I wrote, I loved how good it made me feel... and now I have the need of doing it more often.

OLW February 2012 - Blog Hop

Welcome to OLW 2012 Blog Hop

By now you all know what this is about and that everything starts on Margie's Blog .
For February's prompt I used different pictures I took with my camera or my cellphone, which has become extremely useful for this project.I took pictures of a variety of situations, places, things, etc, that remind me of what JOY is about.

1. The layout I made about how much I miss my mom.2. The moon's perfect smile my son loves to watch.3. The "pictures" Seth loves taking.4. His silliness5. My new toy!!!6. My Cub Scout.7. The cemetery close to home.8. Going to the movies.9. Watching the colors of nature.
I also wanted to do the optional prompt, for this I have about 4 different pictures, I decided to use this one I took one day we went to visit the cemetery. It seems a weird place to find joy... at first I cried like a little baby, after a little while I decided to get out of the car. I know better, I know that place is not the end of our life. I started walking, and I heard someone playing the bagpipes, it was so beautiful and peaceful, as I was listening to the beautiful melody, I started felling different.. like if all the pain was lifted from me... then I confirm what I already knew... that Families are Forever, and one day we will be together for all the eternity... and that brings joy to my life!

The JOY of OLW 2012 - Blog Hop

Let me show you what I´ve done with the January's prompt:
I choose JOY (Gozo in Spanish) as my word.

I was very disappointed when I picked up this picture, I lost some of the overlay when they cropped it, but decided to use it anyway, LOL!

I love butterflies, not sure if they are not longer in style, but they will always be "the IN" thing for me.

They bring JOY to my heart, so I'll be using them throughout mi album.

I'd like to share with you the translation of the quote I used; because my word choose me during a church meeting, I decided to use a quote from one of our leaders:

"Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family."

That is part of my goal/word for 2012, to find JOY in the journey!

ONE LITTLE WORD Blog Hop

It is time again for the One Little Word Blog Hop!!

This is the time when several participants of Ali's One Little Word Class, over at Big Picture Classes, showcase their projects. This blog hop is about our projects for the month of February.

The first stop is at Margie's, so please go there to start the fun.

This month´s prompt is to focus on the ways in which our words exist in the world around us. I took several pictures and choose the ones that "got more my attention". You know? the ones that click more!

My word is Time

I added some key words on each picture, and plan to write a little bit more about them and put it somewhere in my album, I just need to figure where. :)

Time to...

* EnJOY a "little something"

* Look at my son and WONDER how many more "good ideas" he'll come up with.

* BELIEVE in myself as a church leader.

Time to...

* Celebrate birthday WISHES in the family.

* Look at CREATIVITY from a different perspective.

* be with my dear FRIENDS.

Time to...

* Remember what I mean when I say to my son, "I'm here FOR YOU!"

* Watch this little hands CREATE something.

* Sit and enjoy the silly things of childhood.

This is an optional part of February's prompt. Ali suggested to use an 81/2 x 11 picture, but I used a much smaller one.

I was going to use a different picture, but I changed my mind to the last minute, because I remembered I've been neglecting my daily scripture reading. And that is something I need to take time everyday, so I can get spiritual strength.
