The Perfect Sentiments Challenge 04, Season's Greetings

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! 

really!!! I went  to Joann yesterday and they are changing displays already,

Halloween and Thanksgiving are out, Christmas is in...

So, this week's challenge is perfect to start welcoming the upcoming season.

The challenge: Create a card that reflects a Sentiment of 

Season's Greetings. The twist: use the sketch provided.

Ya comienza a oler a Navidad, ¡en serio!

Ayer fuí a Joann y ya están cambiando los escaparates de

Halloween y Thenksgiving y están poniendo cosas de Navidad...

Asi, que el reto de ésta semana está perfecto para empezar

a darle la bienvenida a la temporada que ya se acerca.

El reto: Crear una tarjeta que refleje un Sentimiento navideño.

Lo extra:  usar el sketch proveido.

Perfect Sentiment 03. "Get Well"

Wow! challenge #3, can you believe it? 

Feels like it was yesterday when I was posting the challenge #2.

I visited all the talented ladies who submitted a card  all of them gorgeous

you ladies are so talented.

So, for this week at The Perfect Sentiment
we have another fun challenge:
Create a card that reflects a sentiment of "get well",  the twist is
to use embossing on your card, it can be dry or heat.

Wow! ya estamos en el reto #3, ¿pueden creerlo?
Parece que fué ayer cuando estaba subiendo la entrada del reto #2.
Estube visitando los blogs de las participantes de la semana pasada
y me quedé maravillada con las tarjetas que miré!
Para ésta semana en The Perfect Sentiment
tenemos otro reto muy divertido:
Crear una tarjeta que refleje el sentimiento de "que te mejores",
el truquito extra es que tienen que usar la tecnica de embossing,
ya sea seco o caliente.


After The Rain...

The Sun Always Shines Again.

I used my Big Shot and an embossing folder to add the little
dots to the clouds.

Usé mi Big Shot y un folder de embosado para hacer los puntitos
en las nubes.

I just love this stamp, I used my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol to
color it, the umbrella is paper pieced.

Me gusta mucho la estampa, la compré... para variar... 
cuando salí con Bricela a nuestra tienda favorita especializada
en estampas.  Usé mis Prismacolors y Gamsol para colorearla,
la sombrilla está resaltada usando la técnica de paper piecing.

Trick or Sweet?

¡Y yo que me resistía a entrar a Facebook, y ahora ahí me la vivo!

Ahi he encontrado muy buenas y también un ambiente

scrapero genial... y es por eso la razón de ésta entrada.

Me uní a un par de retos, uno de tarjetas y otro de layouts. 

en el segundo ando un poco atrazada, pero ya ando poniendome

las pilas. En el primero... pues mejor les muestro

lo que hice.

Jackie es la coordinadora del grupo de tarjetas, 

se llama "Escrapeando En El Cielo Con Jackie".

El reto es cada dos semanas y consiste en usar un sketch

diseñado por ella.

Para el primer reto usamos éste sketch:

Está bien lindo ¿no?

El tema era Halloween... y ésta es la tarjeta que yo hice.




Trick or Sweet?

(se me pasó marcar bien la boquita...oops!)

Me super fascina el paper piecing, que es una técnica de

recortar las partes de la imagen por separado y

en diferentes papeles y luego pegarlas para darle

la forma.

Se pueden usar cortadoras electrónicas, pero

si vieran como me divierte a mi cortar a mano, me relaja,

me entretiene, me sirve de terapia!!!!!

El listón es un bies blanco que pinté con mists...

me enamoré y ahora solo ando pinte y pinte listones.

No tomé más fotos, pero ahora que ando con el

gusanito de los videos, quizá haga uno de

los pasos y truquitos para el paper piecing.

Y hablando de videos... jeje... si no han visto mis

pininos... aquí les dejo el primero que publiqué...

ya estan en edición mas y mi lista de ideas para

nuevos videos crece y crece... ahora lo que necesito son horas

en el dia!!!!

Perfect Sentiments Challenge 02: Friendship Inspiration

Welcome to this week Perfect Sentiments Challenge, we are so very 

happy for all the participants who submitted a card last week.

This week our challenge is to create a card that reflects

a sentiment of friendship and the twist is to use the following 

picture as inspiration.

Bienvenidas a el reto de ésta semana en Perfects Sentiments,

estamos muy contentas por todas las participantes que 

subieron su tarjeta la semana pasada.

Esta semana el reto es crear una tarjeta que refleje

un sentimiento de amistad,  el truco extra es usar la 

siguiente fotografía como inspiración.

This is the card I came up with. the sentiment in the heart

is in Spanish en it means:  "Thank for your friendship"

 Ésta es la tarjeta que hice. me gusta que el sentimiento 

está en Español.

I love the color combination in the picture

and I also went for the stripes.

For the heart, I used a technique I learned in a recent 

stamping class I took.

Sweet Card Club - Halloween

Ésta es una entrada medio agri-dulce, pues me despido 

del DT de Sweet Card Club ... esa es la parte agria, la dulce... pues por que

el reto de Octubre,  es hacer una tarjeta 

con el tema Halloween y esa es una palabra sinónimo de dulces!

Aparte del tema Halloween, tienen que incluir el color

verde en alguna parte de la tarjeta.

This is a bitter-sweet post,  because I´m saying

good bye to the Sweet Card Club´s DT, that is the bitter part; the sweet

one is the theme, for this month the challenge is to create a Halloween card, and 

means candies and candies are sweet! 

Besides the theme, the color green should be used

any part of the card.

Going Batty!!

Me encanta la estampa de los buhos tratando de espantar a los

murcielagos. 

Intenté colorearla tipo aquarelas usndo unas brochita expeciales

y tinta de Distress Inks, es una técnica que he visto varias

veces en el blog de Jennifer McGuire y creo que también

en el de Tim "mi amado" Holtz.

I just love that owls stamp. I colored it watercolor style, using 

the water flow brushes and Distress Inks, it is a technique I´ve seen

many times on Jennifer McGuire´s blog and also on 

Tim "my beloved" Holtz.
