LOAD 2/11 "Blog Hop"

Welcome to LOAD 2/11 Blog Hop if you are new to this and don't know what LOAD is all about, chek out this link 
A group of Layout A Day alums have lined up to bring you some ideas on how to prepare for this upcoming LOAD.
I don't know what was i thinking when I signed up for the blog hop lol! :) , because my first time participating I didn't finished,  mostly because of health reasons.  If you can send me some healthy vibes, I'll appreciate them! ;)

She will link you to the next stop. At the end of this post you'll find the complete list of participants.

So, I was thinking on how to be prepared and came up with few ideas:

1. Set aside a couple of hours a day.  I know this can be challenging, but if some days I can make the time to sit down and enjoy my favorite shows (Martha Stewart and Ellen) I can do the same for LOAD and have time to make my daily layout.

2. Purge and organize.  Last Friday, I purged my stash very well.  It was nice to see things I forgotten I had. I also reorganized a little bit my work space...it looks bigger... yay!!!

3. Make your own kits and/or go thru the kits you receive in the mail. I receive kits and I leave them in the plastic bag they come in, so I plan to check them out to see what I have left on each one. Also, I want to make some kits with papers and embellishments  I already own.

4. Print out pictures, If you don't print your pictures at home like me, it's a good idea to order some prints,   right now, Walgreens is running a special of 10 cents per print, offers ends January 29.  ( I don't work for  Walgreen or Costco he!)

I picked these pictures (90) from Costco last Saturday, I paid 13 cents each.

5. Stock up.  Couple of months ago I got a great deal and bought lots of refills for my ATG so I'm good in that department. I also love liquid glue and small tape runners, need to make sure I have enough of those too.

Stocking up on the things you used the most is a great idea.

6. Make sure your favorite tools are in good shape.  Maybe this is my OCD... but I like to clean my most used tools once in a while... :)

7. Blade refills!! :) Last year I remember I was working on a layout and needed to change the paper trimmer's blade... and I didn't have any left!!!!!   This week I need... I must  go to Michaels and get a package.

Sooooo, this is my plan, I know as I hop from blog to blog, I'll find more and better ideas from the rest and more experimented ladies participating.

¿Por qué le agregué al título la palabra "acción"? Pues por que desde hace tiempo he querido mostrarles que he estado haciendo algunas cosas basadas en los links que les comparto. Hoy les voy a mostrar solo un ejemplo.  Es sobre una idea de hacer esponjitas para los ink pads.  Yo lo hice ya hace algunos meses y estoy fascinada, tengo un aplicador especial, pero cuando necesito solo un poco de tinta, éstas esponjitas están geniales.

Why did I add to the title the word "action"? For a long time I´ve been  wanted to show some things I've been doing based on the links I´ve shared.  Today I share  one example. It's about an idea to make little sponges for ink pads. I made them some months ago and I'm fascinated, I have the special applicator, but when I need just a little ink, these sponges are great.

Buen fin de semana. A great weekend.

Todo comenzó el viernes, con el VSL de Scrápate, mi amiga Lida nos enseñó a hacer un organizador de fotos muy lindo y fácil, más abajo les muestro algunas fotos.

Luego me fuí de "scrap shopping" con mi amiga Bricela, visitamos dos tiendas, una de stamps y otra de scrap. Ambas muy lindas, hasta eso que no gasté mucho jajajajaja.

El sábado fué un día muy ocupado, muchos lugares a donde ir, lo bueno es que me la pasé con mis dos amores.
Al llegar a casa me puse a hacer un delicioso cocktail de camarones y luego una página más para mi Art Journal.

Hoy, fué un día muy bonito en la Iglesia; los niños a los que enseño Escuela Dominical se portaron " normal " con eso les digo todo jajajajaja.
Y ya para dejar de hablar... les muestro las fotos del organizador y Art Journal.

Everything started last Friday during our weekly classes at Scrápate, my friend Lida taught us how to make a very pretty and very easy photo organizer, I´ll post the pictures down below. In the afternoon, I went "scrap shopping" with my friend Bricela. We visited two stores, one of stamps and another of general scrapping. Both very pretty, I'm surprised I didn't spend that much.

Saturday was a very busy day, lots of paces to go, fortunately I pend all day with my two loves.

Once home,  I cooked a very delicious shrimp cocktail and then sit on my scrap table and make another page for my Art Journal.

Sunday was a very nice day at church, the kids I teach Sunday School behaved "normal" and with that I say it all, lol!

And to stop babbling, I show you photos of my photo organizer and Art Journal.

¿Apoco no está bella? Utilizé papeles de Cosmo Cricket, uno de mis alfabetos favoritos y un par de punches, entre ellos mi nuevo baby... un punch de mariposa.

Un día tocaron a mi puerta, cuando abrí, esto fué lo que miré. mi Danny un día después de comprometernos  me llevó flores. Las mariposas representan lo que se siente cuando estás enamorada.
Las flores de papel me las regaló una amiga hace tiempo y estaba esperando la oportunidad perfecta para usarlas.

And this is the latest page for my Art Journal.

One day Danny knocked at my door, when I opened it, this is what I saw. He brought me flowers the day after we got engaged. The butterflies represent how you feel when you are in love.
The flowers were given to me by a friend some time ago. I was waiting for the perfect time to use them.

I love the card; the art journal pages... mmmm... not so much... I hope I can get better... :)

Y ADORO sentirme así. Hice una tarjeta para dos retos y dos páginas para mi primer art Journal. La tarjeta me encata,  las páginas para el Art Journal... mmmm... no mucho... espero ir mejorando... :)

 Materials: Bo Bunny: patterned papers, green and pink trim/ribbon, stickers;

 Bazzill: pink and brown cardstock; Mo Digital Design: Shy Valentine Lila; Flower soft: baby pink;

Ranger: stickles;  Others: Prismacolor pencils, Gamsol.

* For Mo´s Challenge blog challenge # 64. The theme for the challenge was: "going retro", I added the soft flower on Lila´s skirt to give it the look of a poodle skirt, I also added the soft flower on her socks.

* For Bo Bunny card´s challenge , they asked us to use trim on the card.

* Para el reto # 64 en Mo´s challenge blog . El tema del reto fué " retro" le puse sot flower a la orilla de la falda de Lila para que de el aspecto de falda rockera, también le puse lo  mismo a las calcetas.

* Para el reto de tarjetas en el blog de Bo Bunny ellos pidieron que usaramos listón en la tarjeta.
