Algo que me encanta de la Navidad, es dar regalitos,

pero no comprados en tiendas, sino 

hechos con mis manitas de sapito. jaja

El proyecto que hice para éste blog hop, es un árbolito.

Miré la idea en Pinterest, y en seguida se

me vino a la mente "algo" de los productos

de Latina Crafter perfecto para hacerlo.

¡Me encanta, lo adoro... que no se si lo podré regalar! jajajajaja

No les voy a mentir, si toma tiempo, y

pasiencia, pero creo que vale la pena.

Y más si es para regalarlo a alguien especial

(si es que lo regalo JA)

Además, usé materiales que me sobraron de la

Navidad pasada. Tengo una bolsa llena de

cositas sueltas y demás, que para éste tipo de proyectos

van perfecto.

¿Ya se dieron cuenta que es ese "algo" que usé

para darle forma al follaje?

¡Uno de lo suajes!

Amo encontrarle diferente usos a los productos.

Did you have a Merry Christmas? ¿Pasaste una Felíz Navidad?

I hope with all my heart you did!!
Ours was very nice. We spend Christmas Eve with our best friends, ate a delicious dinner, and enjoyed a wonderful time remembering the birth of Jesus. Thanks to our little kids who were very cute and acted up the verses  we read from the Bible.

¡Espero con todo mi corazón que así fué!
La nuestra estuvo muy bonita. Nos pasamos nochebuena en casa de nuestros mejores amigos, comimos una cena deliciosa, y disfrutamos de un tiempo marvilloso recordando el nacimiento de Jesucristo. Gracias a nuestros pequeñines que de una forma muy bonita actuaron los versiculos que leimos en la Biblia.

After the play and we opened presents, we went to visit a neighborhood nearby. Lots of houses were decorated with thousand of lights. One in particular, was amazing, they even had music, and personages to take pictures with... I took one of my son with Santa, but of course, he also wanted one with "The Grinch"

Después de la pequeña representación, nos fuimos a visitar un vecindario cercano. Muchas de las casas estaban decoradas con miles de luces. Una en particular tenía música y diferentes personajes para que la gente se tomara fotos. Tomé una de mi hijo con Santa, pero por supuesto que él quizo también una con "El Grinch"

Now... I´ve been wanting to tell you about a very neat experience we had.   Starting December 14th, we received a daily package from a Secret Santa.  Every day we got a nativity piece, a message with a quote from  the Bible and a gift.   My son was the most exited, he would wait for our package to arrive.  The first thing he did was read the message and then look in his Bible for the verse that was in the message.  For 12 days we got this gifts, until we completed the whole nativity set. I baked a cake, thinking the last day we would know who our secret Santa was... but they didn't reveal themselves.

I will always remembered this act of kindness, and for sure will pass it on to another family next Christmas Season.

También...He querido contarles acerca una una experiencia muy bonita que tuvimos. Comenzando el 14 de Diciembre recibimos un paquetito diario de un Santa secreto.  Cada día, recibimos una pieza del nacimiento, un mensaje con un cita de la Biblia y un regalito. Mi hijo era el más emocionado, el esperaba ansiosamente a que llegara nuestro regalo. Lo primero que hacía era leer el mensaje y buscar la cita en su Biblia. Por 12 días nos llegaron estos regalitos, hasta que por fin completamos el nacimiento.  Yo hice un pastelito, pensando que el último día sabríamos quien era nuestro Santa secreto,  pero decidió mantenerse en el anonimato.

Siempre recordaremos ese acto de bondad, y por seguro que lo pasaremos a otra familia en la próxima época navideña.

And finally,  these are some of the gifts I made for my friends and family.  I used two of my favorite dies from Sizzix: the 3D flower and the Bird cage.  I hope you like them.

Y finalmente, éstos son unos de los regalitos que hice para mi familia y amigos. Usé dos de mis dies favoritos de Sizzix: 3D flower y la jaulita de pájaro.

I won´t have any "Cool Link Mondays" until next year. I´m taking a little break from that. It doesn´t mean I´m not looking for cool links... I´m just saving them for 2011!!

Saben por que lo digo? Pues por que hoy amanecio el dia con algunos sitios llenos de creatividad, hijoles... y yo tan ocupada jajajaja!!!  ah pero mi casita esta quedando muy bonita!!!!!

Yo  amaneci muy feliz y llena de energia, con ganas de escuchar musica mientras posteo... asi que me conecte a mi sitio favorito para escuchar musica: Pandora.   Estoy escuchando a Carrie Underwood, me fascina su musica y como canta... si... lo confiezo, me encanta la musica country!!!!!

Pero... a lo que vine verdad? Por el tipo de post No se vayan a confundir ok, hoy no es Cool Links Monday jajaja!!!

Do you know why? Because the day dawned with few sites full of creativity... ouch.. and I'm still very busy!!!!  Oooohh, but my little house is looking so pretty!!!!

I woke up woke up very happy and full of energy, wanting to listen to music while posting... so I logged in to Pandora  my favorite place for online music. I'm listening to Carrie Underwood... I love country music...there, I said it!!!!!

Quiero ense;arles un nacimiento que hice para el blog de Reto Latino el mes pasado. me gusto como quedo, y se lo voy a mandar a mi sobrinita para que sea de ella y su mama no le diga que no puede agarrar el de ceramica por que lo va a quebrar!!!!

I want to sow you a nativity I made last month for Reto Latino's blog. I like how it turned out.  I'm going to give it to my little niece, so her mom won't tell her tell her she can't touch the ceramic one because its breakable.

Beautiful Mini album!!!!

Hola!  Hoy en el foro de Artes Laura, nos vamos a reunir en un tipo "crop online" para aprender a hacer un mini album.  Ya puse la lista de materiales y algunos pasos para que adelantemos un poco el trabajo.

Si no están registradas en el foro, vayan; es muy fácil, Erika estará atenta por si entra alguien nuevo a registrarse.

No por nada pero el mini queda muy bonito. Lo aprendí a hacer en una clase de una chica super talentosa llamada Marion Smith.  Ojalá nos puedan acompañar.

I learned how to make this mini album, on one of the very talented Marion Smith's live shows. It is very pretty.

Tutorial #2

I'm very happy to be post  my Tutorial #2.  Painted Dew Drops may be old news for somebody; but, it's something I've been  wanted to try; ever since I saw it on Splitcoaststampers. Then one of my friends from Scrappin' Mojo;  Beth sent me some, and I fall in love with them all over again. I'm always looking for something cool to use to embellish  my projects. And when it involves saving money, I'm all for it!!!!!

Ok, lets start!!!!

Estoy muy felíz de estar publicando mi Tutorial #2. Gotitas pintadas,quizá  sea algo que ya conocen algunas; pero, es algo que siempre he  querido tratar de hacer desde que lo vi en Splitcoaststampers. Luego una de mis amigas de Scrappin' Mojo ; Beth me mandó unas y me enamore de ellas otravez.

Siempre estoy buscando por cosas bonitas que me ayuden a embellecer más mis proyectos. Y si esto incluye ahorrar dinero, mucho mejor para mi!!!!

Bueno... comenzemos!!!

Dew Drops (gotitas de rocío)

Don't they look pretty?  they can be use por multiple things: Flowers centers, butterflies bodies, bubbles, accents on a layout/card, etc.  Let me show you how I painted  them.

¿Apoco no se miran bellas? Pueden usarse en muchas cosas: centros para flores, cuerpos de mariposas, burbujas, acentos para una página ó tarjeta. Dejen les muestro como las pinté.

This is what you need:  * Decorative accents "Dew Drops" Found them in the floral section of your local craft store * Alcohol Inks, I used Tim Holtz brand.   * Small plastic bags or zip-locks. * Paper towels (optional).

Esto es lo que necesitas: ° Piedritas decorativas "gotitas de rocío" (dew drops). Las puedes encontrar en la seccion de floreria en tu tienda local de manualidades. ° Pinturas de alcohol, yo utiliza la marca Tim Holtz  ° bolsitas pequeñas de plástico o zip locks y ° Toallas de paper (opcional).

1. Put a handfull of dew drops in the plastic bag and add few drops of alcohol ink. For this ammount I added 7 drops.

1. Pon unas piedritas en la bolsa de plástico y agrega unas gotas de pintura de alcohol. Para ésta cantidad de piedritas yo les puse 7 gotas.

2. Close the bag and shake it until all the dew drops are covered with ink.

2.  Cierra la bolsita y agítala hasta que todas las piedritas queden cubiertas con la pintura.

3. Let them dry. I placed them on a paper towel, so they will dry faster. But, is not necesary. I'm just very impatient. 

This is how they look like, once they are dried.

3. Dejalas secar. Yo las puse sobre una toalla de papel, para que se secaran más rápido. pero, esto no es necesario,  solo que yo soy muy impaciente. 

Así es como se miran una vez que estan secas.

                        

5. To store them; I place the inked dew drops in a clean plastic bag and print the name of the ink used.

5. Para guardarlas;  pon las  en una bolsita de plástico limpia y escribe el nombre de la pintura que usada.

That's  it!                         ¡Eso es todo!

Right now, I only have 6 ink colors. I can't wait to get more and have a larger palette of dew drops colors!!!!!

Por el momento solo tengo 6 colores de pintura. Pero no puedo esperar para tner mas y así ampliar la gama de colores de "gotitas de rocio"

Supplies: Papers: Kiki Art; Alpha stickers: Adornit; White pen: Uni-ball Signo; Tools:  We R memory Keeppers, corner chomper. Other: hand painted dew drops.

I finally scrapped some pictures from the last church outing. Mother Nature gave us lots of rain, for some it was an inconvenience for others (the kids specially) it was pure fun, check out the pictures in this layout; here is Perla after having fun playing with mud...


Finalmente "hice scrap" de algunas fotos del ultimo campamento de la iglesia. La Madre Naturaleza nos regalo mucha luuvia, para algunos esto fue una inconveniencia, para otros pura diversion, solo miren las fotos en esta pagina; aqui esta Perla despues de haberse divertido en el lodo...

I made the flowers with felt ribbon and pom poms, I love how they turned out, I think they are very pretty, if i can say that about my own creations :)


Hice las flores de liston fieltro y motitas, me encanta como quedaron, creo que estan muy bonitas, digo, si es que puedo alabar mis propias creaciones :)
