In Love With Mini Albums Enamorada de los Mini Albums.

I think I'm in love with mini albums, they are practical, cute, and if you keep them simple, you can finish one in one day, even hours!!!!

( Let me tell you a secret... i started one last week and haven't finish it ha ha ha, because I haven't had time, not becuase is a very complicated one... BUT, what I said before is true... you can finish one in hours! )

YouTube is FULL of video tutorials, and if you google -mini-albums- you'll find tons of ideas!

They can be in any shape. I like them very, very mini, like 3.5 x.3.5" or regular size, like 7x5"; although, I'm not sure if this is considered mini album :)

I've seen some very pretty ones, some full of embellishments; some very simple... the way I like them.

I'm going to show you one I made, few weeks ago. Is very simple because  I wanted to keep the photos as the main focus.

Creo que me estoy enamorando de los mini albums, son prácticos, bonitos, y si los mantienes simple, puedes terminar uno en un día, aún en horas!!!!

(Dejen les cuento un secreto... comenzé un mini la semana pasada y aún no lo acabo jajajaja, no por que esté muy complicado, si no por que no he tenido tiempo... pero reitero lo dicho, puedes acabar uno en horas!)

YouTube está LLENO de videos tutoriales, y si lo buscas en Google, encontrarás montones de ideas!

Pueden ser de muchas formas, A mi me gustan muy chiquitos, como de 9x9 cms, o regulares, como 18 x 12.5 cms; aunque... no se si éste último sea considerado mini album :)

He visto muchos hermosos, algunos llenos de adornos, otros mas sencillos...que son los que me gustan a mi.

Les voy a monstrar uno que hize, hace unas semanas; es muy sencillo, simple, pero quize mantener las fotos como el foco principal.

Supplies: Patterned paper: Kiki Art; Cardstock: Bazzill; Punches: EK Success (butterfly and border on banner), SU! (Circles); Other: Embroidery floss, homemade mists.

I love alphabet stickers, but I always run out of letters, and they don't have the special symbols we use in the Spanish alphabet. So, I design the title or journal on my computer and print it on cardstock, then, I cut each letter and glue them on my page. They look like those expensive stickers, but they are waaay cheaper, I have tons of fonts to choose from and I always have the letters I need!!!

Me gustan mucho los stickers de alfabetos, pero siempre se me acaban ciertas letras; y no tienen los símbolos especiales que usamos en el Español. Asi que, yo diseño el título o journaling en mi compu y lo imprimo; luego, recorto letra por letra y las pego en la página. Se miran igual que esos carísimos alfabetos, pero son mucho mas baratos, tengo un montón de fuentes para escoger y siempre tengo las letras que necesito!!

Every 4th of July, we watch the fire works from a little hill in Tempe (AZ)

We've done it for the past 6 years. In our opinion, we have the best seats in town. To get there we  have to hike a little bit; but every year, we confirm... that  it is worthy!!!!

Cada 4 de Julio, miramos los juegos pirotecnicos desde una colinita en Tempe (Arizona). Lo hemos hecho por los últimos 6 años. En nuestra opinión, nosotros siempre tenemos los mejores asientos en toda la ciudad. para llegar ahi, tenemos que caminar un poco; y cada año comprobamos que vale la pena!!!!

I survived!!!!!! Sobrevivi!!!!!!!

Hello, I got home yesterday  around 6:30ish pm!!!  Soooooooo tired, I don't want to know anything about camping or cooking  or rice pudin (more to come in another post) for at least 3 days hahahahaha!!!

Overall, it was a great expirience, the boys were great; but maaaan can they eat! =)

The weather was goooorgeous! 

One day we had a "stinky" visitor, around 4 am, who passed right outside my room's window. Why, why my window?? haha I wasn't able to go back to sleep.

Hola!!!   Regrese ayer alrededor de las 6:00 pm!!!  Super cansada, y no quiero saber nada de acampar, cocinar o arroz con leche (les cuento mas en otro post)  por los siguientes 3 dias jajajaja!!!

A grandes razgos,  fué una maravillosa experiencia, los muchachos se portaron super biem pero ijooles como comen!!!!

El clima estuvo perfecto!

Un día tuvimos un visitante "apéstosito",  como eso de las 4:oo am, que pasó justo fuera de la ventana de mi recamara. ¿Por que, por que my ventana?  No tengo ni que decir que ya no me pude volver a dormir.

Where did the month go??? ¿Que pasó con el mes?

Seriously, where did May go?  I remember how happy I was May 1st. because it happened to be my wedding anniversary. I remember we went out for dinner and my husband and i were talking about our son, and that we couldn't believe he was a first grader...well. first grade is over and now he is on summer vacation.

wow! it kind of hit me when I was making this thank you card for the bus driver.

En serio, ¿a donde se fué Mayo? Recuerdo que el día 1ro. estaba muy contenta, por que ese diá es mi aniversario de bodas. Recuerdo que salimos a cenar y mi esposo y yo estabamos platicando sobre nuestro hijo; de como no podíamos creer que ya estaba en primer grado... bueno,  primer grado ya se acabó  y ahora el está de vacaiones de verano. 

Saben que me cayo en cuenta cuando estaba haciendo ésta tarjeta de agradecimiento para la shofer del bus escolar.

He Is Back To School Ya Regreso A La Escuela

I can't believe my Seth is now a First Grader. I still remember how much I cried last year when my little boy left in the school bus for his first day of Kindergarten. wow! is been a whole year, somethings have changed some have not...you'll see in the pictures below


No puede creer que my Seth ya esta en Primer Grado. Todavia recuerdo cuanto llore el a~o pasado cuando mi ninito se fue en el camion escolar para su primer dia de Kinder. wow! ha pasado un a~o, algunas cosas han cmbiado, otras no... ya veras en las siguientes fotos:

Cuando pienso en mi sobrina Edna, pienso en lo especial que ella es, es una mujer joven llena de virtures; una de ellas es que sabe escuchar; yo tengo 38 y ella apenas 17, lo mas logico es que yo deberia darle consejos a ella, pero hay ocaciones en las que ella me da consejos a mi; me contagia con su alegria y me sorprende su inteligencia. Ella me enseno como abrir una carpeta para compartir fotos en msn :) Y hablando de fotos, tengo muchas que ella me ha mandado, ahora ella es una razon mas hacer paginas de scrapbook con materiales femeninos, menos rosa, por que a ella no le gusta ese color! Pueden creerlo?!?! Te quiero mucho Nena.



When I think of Edna, I think of a how special she is, a virtuous young woman; she is a good listener; I'm 38 years old and she is only 17, logically, I should advice her, but sometimes is the other way around; her happiness is contagious, and her intelligence amazes me. She taught me how to create a sharing folder for msn messenger :) And speaking of photos, i have lots she has sent me, now she is one more reason I can scrapbook using femenine supplies ans colors, except pink, she doesn't like it!!! Can you believe it?!?!? I love You Nena.
